Our classes prepare the student to work in the field as an EMT.  The course meets or exceeds current MDPH/OEMS curriculum requirements and provides the student with the education needed to qualify for the Massachusetts Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Examination

Course content includes:

Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays (6:30 - 10:30 p.m.) and at least one Saturday session per month (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)   Summer session meets at least two Saturdays per month. 

100% attendance is a State (and therefore StarFire EMS) requirement for successful course completion.  Any sessions that are missed – regardless of reason – MUST BE SUCCESSFULLY MADE UP before the student can be certified as eligible for the Massachusetts EMT-Basic Examination.  

We also offer comprehensive exam preparation for our students for a nominal additional fee.  Students who participate in the exam preparation sessions are more likely to be successful on the written and practical skill certification exams.
