Mike completed his Basic EMT education in 2005 with StarFire EMS at Northern Essex Community College and began working for Patriot Ambulance Service. He also began working with StarFire EMS as a skill lab instructor
26 April 2007 Mike answered his last call. Young, healthy, 21, he experienced cardiac arrest behind the wheel of the ambulance. His partner and the paramedic on-board were injured. The patient, already in cardiac arrest, did not survive. Mike's energy, enthusiasm, and desire for excellence was contagious and is sorely missed!
Mike's family started a scholarship to assist EMTs seeking to complete their education as paramedics . For more information go to http://www.emsscholarship.com.
